We first met at UCSD in 2017 and bonded almost immediately over our mutual love of food, dogs, science, and literature (not necessarily in that order). Our very first date was indeed a trip to the grocery store. Mitchell grilled up a mean steak, and Lauren handled dessert - brownies, oven mitts and all.
